FAQ

Your questions, answered.

Who is eligible to apply?2023-10-13T20:48:29+00:00

Our part-time global Executive MBA in Creative Leadership is designed for executives in industries where creativity sets the standard. In addition to satisfying academic requirements, candidates must have a minimum of five years of professional experience in their industry and demonstrate their potential as leaders. The program is tailored to applicants who are already in a leadership position or designated for one.

The program is also open to entrepreneurs interested in enhancing their leadership skills. The program is not limited to those working in ‘traditional’ creative industries – rather to professionals who desire to become better leaders and drive their companies forward with more creative communication strategies, products or services. Recent classes have included advertisers, designers, journalists, editors, TV producers, media executives, brand managers, consultants, entrepreneurs, architects and senior executives in the tech industry.

Do I need a GMAT or TOEFL to apply?2023-09-25T23:04:50+00:00

We do not look at GMAT scores when considering applicants to our Executive MBA program. The admission is based on a thoughtful analysis of applicants’ fit to the program as well as their experience and goals.

We also do not require a TOEFL for application or admission, however we may opt to conduct a telephone interview with non-native speakers to ensure that their English skills are proficient enough for them to be comfortable in our program and benefit fully from it.

I’m not a ‘creative’ or working in advertizing; is this for me?2023-09-25T23:05:11+00:00

Although most of our first graduates were advertizing industry executives, only around half of our participants now come from the field. Recent classes have included executives, founders, and freelancers from diversifying fields such as technology, finance, retail, and hospitality. All of them have one thing in common – a desire to become better leaders and drive their companies forward with more creative communication strategies, products or services.

Is it just for those who work for major companies, or are independent business-owners, entrepreneurs, and freelancers also welcome?2024-03-08T14:09:56+00:00

We have a fairly even split between participants who work in big global networks and those who run their own companies. That can mean a one-man operation, a firm that employs hundreds of staff, or anything in-between. Whether you are running a business as an entrepreneur or defining your role in a vast global organization, our program is aimed at addressing the unique challenges you face.

Can you tell me more about the curriculum?2023-09-25T23:21:42+00:00

Our Executive MBA in Creative Leadership is an innovative hybrid program tailored to those who want to lead their enterprise to the very front of the pack. We combine traditional MBA subjects like strategy, accounting, finance and HR with a creative perspective on sensing and responding to the complex demands of modern business. In the course of the hybrid format, participants also meet (on and offline) and learn from industry leaders – in fields like advertising, entertainment, innovation and technology – who breathe life into the curriculum with relevant, real-world examples.

Is there a lot of course work between modules?2023-09-25T23:21:43+00:00

Our Global Executive MBA is designed for leaders who want to further their education, but can’t afford to step away from their organizations and/or projects on a full-time basis. Participants will be expected to do some preparatory reading in the weeks leading up to each module’s segment, as well as complete post-module assignments within a few weeks after it has taken place. But aside from the master’s thesis – which will require a substantial time investment late in the program – participants can focus on applying what they’ve learned in each segment to their profession during the time between modules.
