Stuart Dixon is a Berlin School faculty member teaching applied economics.For the last five years, he has also worked as the Academic Director of MBA programmes at the Universiteit Maastricht Business School. As well as his work in Maastricht, he is a regular lecturer at a number of other business schools, including Audencia School of Management, Nantes, France; Steinbeis School of Management and Innovation, Steinbeis-Hochschule Berlin, Germany and the Hotel Management School, Maastricht, Netherlands.
Stuart Dixon completed his PhD at the European University Institute in Florence, specialised in the area of Industrial Economics. For the last 13 years, he has lectured at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Universiteit Maastricht, in areas of Organisational Design, International Management and Business Economics. For the last ten years he has been involved in the EuroMBA programme, a blended learning MBA programme offered by a consortium of European business schools.
Besides teaching, his also an auditor for CEL (programme accreditation for teChnology-Enhanced Learning) organised by the EFMD. Finally, his research (when there is time for it) focuses on topics in the area of Industrial Economics, most notably on issues of how entry modes are determined either via signalling processes or via first mover advantages.
In his spare time, he likes to do a variety of sports (including fitness and snowboarding) and play his numerous bass guitars.
