As Design Director of UDG, an architecture and planning company that has a staff of 1,000 people, Jan’s responsibilities range from extensive branded commercial spaces to individual brand retail spaces within UDG developments, which include top-range themed hotel destinations to automotive showcases. His goal is to use digital media to coordinate and synchronize exchange between the company’s branches and run online visual content management system to fuse inspiration in the design process fostering creative excellence.

Jan served as Senior Designer at HELLER MANUS, Int., where he initalized and managed an independent design center in Shanghai. He has also worked as a Project Architect, an Architectural Design Manager for various architecture companies, as well as taught architectural design methods at the Technical University in Dresden, Germany. He received his degree in Architectural Design at the Technische Universitaet Berlin.

In deciding to come to the Berlin School of Creative Leadership, Jan believes the both the education and the networking opportunities will help him achieve his creative leadership goals. “Working and learning close with media related creative professionals will inspire my future activity as Executive Creative Director or Design Principal.”
