As SVP of Global Sales for National Geographic Channels, Germaine oversees a merged business unit with 30 staff in both the UK and US, as well as regional offices around the world. She is in charge of forecasting and managing global content sales P&L, managing negotiations with key broadcasters and digital media distributors, and she managed the restructuring of the global content sales unit after a merger. She is now focusing on driving revenue opportunities from the programming assets controlled by NGC in a changing digital environment as well as bringing unity and cohesion to the global team, while concentrating on the value of their business in the future.
With more than 20 years in the television industry, Germaine has worked in many cities and at all levels, from sales to business development and production management. Before joining National Geographic Channels nine years ago, she worked for Tremendous Entertainment, The Network Group, and IVN. She has given several keynote speeches on global distribution in cities like Tokyo, NYC, and Adelaide, Australia.
Working in both a creative and corporate environment, Germaine came to the Berlin School of Creative Leadership to merge her two worlds and be able to operate in any business environment. “With a special focus on international business in the creative industries, and faculty from a variety of corporate cultures, the very core of the Berlin School of Creative Leadership Program addresses the major challenges I face as a professional building a career in global business.”
