_MEDIATE is a digital consultancy based in Berlin – “your partner for the digital transformation.” For over ten years, _MEDIATE have been working with companies across multiple industries such as energy, law, finance and other professional services, helping them to achieve their digital transformation goals through intrapreneurship, investing and partnering.

Prior to launching _MEDIATE, Katja, a trained lawyer, gained industry experience for many years at the Axel Springer SE. There she was active in the field of M&A, as well as working on the Managing Board of Hamburg’s regional newspapers. Previously, she worked as a business consultant at The Boston Consulting Group for several years, mainly in the media and private equity practices. In the early stages of her career, she was an attorney for international tax and corporate law at Freshfields and Shearman & Sterling, among others.

An expert in the fields of digital transformation, strategic business development and investments / M&A, she also is a Professor for Digital Media Management at Steinbeis-Hochschule School of Management and Innovation, where her goal is to educate the next generation of managers to tackle business challenges of the digital age.

With her vast wealth of experience in mind, hub:raum (Deutsche Telekom’s incubator) included Katja into their mentor team in May, 2012. Katja is also a mentor at the incubator, Project Flying Elephant, and a Supervisory Board Member at Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH.

In her own words, Katja’s passion, for more than 15 years, is to “discover and implement smart new ways to boost companies’ revenue, especially in unchartered territories such as the digital transformation.
