Before Fever Pit’ch, Pit Gottschalk is the Editor in Chief at the Funke Mediengruppe. Prior to this role, Pit was the “Managing Director of Content Management” and before that “Head of CEO’s Newspaper Office” at Axel Springer, Europe’s biggest newspaper company.
Preceding this, he was Chief Editor for Sport-Bild magazine in Hamburg (approx. 4 million readership) for six years. Gottschalk joined Sport-Bild in 1994 as Reporter and quickly rose to Chief Reporter. In 1998, he joined Die Welt & Welt am Sonntag in Berlin, as Chief Sports Editor before returning to Sport-Bild as Deputy Editor in 2002.
